ScanPass Pro is a password entry assistant that scans a QR code and places the data on the clipboard for use in other applications. ScanPass Pro enables the usage of complex passwords without worrying about mistyping. To avoid potential loss of password information from a lost QR code, ScanPass Pro supports encrypting passwords prior to QR code generation, to ensure only your device can retrieve the plaintext password from the QR code.

When prompted for a password, launch ScanPass Pro and scan a QR code containing your password. Double tap the home button and select the application to return to the password entry field. Paste the password from the clipboard into the password entry field to authenticate to the application. Use ScanPass Pro to log into your favorite password manager application.

ScanPass Pro integrates with DropBox to simplify sharing a device public key with a system that will generate QR codes for the device. Alternatively, iTunes file sharing can be used to retrieve the device certificate.
